Program Overview:
East Bernard High School Workforce Industry Training (WIT) program will be designed to provide our students with valuable hands-on experiences in the fields of nuclear application, clean energy, and manufacturing industries as well as helping them to find their career path through exposure to programs at higher education institutions.
Organizational structure:
East Bernard High School WIT will employ a flexible membership of no less than 25 student participants in scheduled activities/events/trips. Membership selection will be based on timely sign up for activities, discipline and attendance records, and interest in nuclear applications, clean technologies, and manufacturing. Karen Riley will serve as the main sponsor and will have a various assistant sponsor on a trip-by-trip bases.
The NPI/WIT Relationship
The Workforce Industry Training (WIT) program is funded and supported by the Nuclear Power Institute (NPI), a joint center for Texas A&M University (TAMU) and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES).
